Exfoliation or Getting Rid of Dead Skin

Exfoliation (the getting rid of dead skin cells) is a crucial step in any skin care program. If dead skin cells are not properly removed,  Skin becomes  pale and lifeless, since these cells dull the pink glow of healthy skin. Frequently, wrinkles become noticeable.

It is also bad for your health. Cell build-up leads to Dehydration ,poor oxidation,  formation of blemishes rough, unevenly-texture skin .
·

What Happens to Dead Skin Cells after they are formed?

The result of this buildup of dead cells is dull, flat-looking skin that has lost its vitality and glow.
What Can You Do About It?

All skin types, but especially oily and mature skins.

There are two main types of products on the market that facilitate exfoliation, sloughing accelerators and mechanical exfoliates. They can be used together in daily and weekly care programs but make sure you start with effective daily cleansing.
Sloughing accelerators - contain various combinations of acids and other exfoliation ingredients which dissolve the intercellular cement which holds the dead cells on the surface together. Once the intercellular cement is dissolved, cells are no longer attached and are easily removed. The two most prominent sloughing accelerators are alpha-hydroxy acids and salicylic acid.
In top-notch exfoliating cleansers, these acids are combined with plant extracts that add skin-soothing and moisturizing properties
Two tips to keep in mind when using sloughing accelerators:
First, you should use a cleanser that contains both oil and water.

The oils, when applied to the skin, heat up to skin temperature and melt the skin's natural sebum, thereby loosening the cells that have become lodged in it. The water phase removes the water-soluble pollutants that had become attached.

Second you should be careful in your choice of a facecloth or sponge.

Cosmetic sponges gently aid in dislodging stubborn cells while you wipe off the cleanser. Whichever you use should be washed regularly. It's more usual to boil a cosmetic sponge than a facecloth, but this is the surest way to destroy any bacteria growing in the moist environment they provide.

Mechanical exfoliates physically remove the cells from the surface of the skin. Mechanical exfoliates not only aid in sloughing unwanted cells, they refine the texture of the skin and stimulate cell renewal. They further benefit the skin by leaving it ideally prepared for subsequent caring or intensive treatments.

The two most common types of mechanical exfoliate are scrubs and peels. One caution when using mechanical exfoliate - be sure to avoid the delicate, easily-damaged mouth and eye areas.

The dead skin cells are physically rubbed off with a body scrub that might use sugar or salt, On the face, scrubs should use small, round, gentle abrasives like jojoba beads. Stay away from something harsh like apricot scrubs, which can cause micro-tears in your skin
What You Should Know About Facial Exfoliation:
·         Be extra careful with the delicate skin of your face.
·         It's easy to over exfoliate. You should be especially cautious if you have sensitive or aging skin.
·         Be careful not to overdo . It can make thin, aging skin even thinner if you get too many treatments too quickly.
·         Don't over exfoliate, especially in summer or in very sunny climates. You're making it easier for your skin to be damaged by the sun.
·         Never use body scrubs on the face. they're too rough.
·         Be very careful with peels. Don't get one peel and then go somewhere else to ask for another. You can remove too much of your protective layer and end up exposing the living dermis. Again, be careful about going out in the sun afterwards, or doing it in summer.

·         Never wax if you've had a peel recently. It might expose raw, living skin, which will have to scab over to heal.
How To Give Yourself A Body Scrub At Home
·         You can buy a nice body scrub, make your own body scrub at home.
·         Soften the skin first by soaking ten to fifteen minutes in a warm tub. Add a relaxing essential oil like lavender, or rose-petals to make it more relaxing. Let the tub drain, and pat yourself  dry.
·         Place a towel on the edge of your tub and sit on it. If you're using a body scrub, put a little bit in the palm of your hand and rub it over the skin. I usually start with my lower legs.
·         Roll up a moist washcloth and rub your skin, spending at least a minute or two in each area. If you go too quickly, you don't get the full exfoliation. Don't scour too hard or too long, especially if you're using an abrasive salt scrub!
·         Stand up when it's time to do your backside. Make sure you have steady footing.
·         The back is the trickiest part. Reach where you can, or ask your partner to help. A body brush with a long handle can get to the spots between your shoulders.
·         When you're done, rinse under the shower.Don't give yourself a body scrub while the shower is running. The scrub will just melt away.
More at-Home Body Scrub Tips·

A home body scrub once a week should keep your skin smooth.·
If your skin starts looking irritated, cut back on the frequency of scrubs or try something gentler than salt, like a sugar scrub.

Never use a body scrub on your face! It's way too harsh.
Continuing to capture youthful glow and vitality in your skin takes time and planning. But any effective program will start with the importance of
good cleansing.

Regular clearing away of excess debris and
building surface of the skin (through exfoliation) encourages new cell regeneration, improves th
health of the skin, and starts it on the path to becoming smooth and soft skin.

Save your money

We all know we need to save, but most people don't save they know they need to save. Why? You need to be very practical to save money and ease the load on your wallet from today.

Keep a record of your expenses.

How much you make and how much you spend. Since you have more control over how much you spend, it's wise to take a critical look at your expenses. Write down everything you spend your money on for a couple weeks or a month. Be as detailed as possible, and try not to leave out small purchases.

Set savings goals.

For short-term goals, this is easy. If you want to buy a video game find out how much it costs; if you want to invest  determine how much of a down payment you’ll need. For long-term goals, you’ll need to do a lot more planning .

Make a detailed shopping list
This is especially true for the grocery shop. The only way to keep the bills low and stay away from the cookies and other junk is to make a precise shopping list and stick to it.

Start turning off the fans, lights, microwave, television and your computor
If you are going to be away from the room for more than 5 minutes. So don't just 'step into the shower' or 'take a half hour break' with all the electrical still on.

Stop buying grocery everyday. If you want to shop   every single day, start by bringing it from home just twice a week. If you buy it once a week, start buying it just twice a month. Slow and steady wins the race!

Cancel useless magazine subscriptions.
online website subscriptions, Tata Sky channel subscriptions and memberships to the clubs, libraries that you don't use.

Keep your car serviced Running smoothly to decrease fuel bills.

Start carrying discount vouchers you have.

Eat out less often. If you're planning to go for a movie, prepare lunch or dinner. That way, you're less likely to be tempted to eat out.

Go shopping when you're in a mad rush - you'll only pick essentials.

Pay off your credit card bills before you're charged interest on the amount owed.

Keep a small notebook with you at all times.
Get in the habit of recording every expense and
saving the receipts.

Sit down once a week with your small notebook and receipts. Record your expenses in a larger notebook or a spreadsheet program.

Pay all bills on time - phone, electricity, internet, school fees, insurance and whatever else you need to avoid penalties.

Avoid ATM fees by checking which branches you can withdraw money from at zero surcharge.

Instead of buying books and magzines, rent them from a library. If you feel      must buy, get online and see if you can get any second hand ones that are in good condition. You may be surprised by what you find.

When stepping out of the house for a couple hours, carry your own drinking water. Buying bottled water every time you head out can really end up costing you a fair bit in the long run.

Shop during the sales
Stick only to items that you're  dead sure are of good use and value to you. Do not buy things just because they are at half price.

Don't get discouraged and don't give up.
You may not think you can become wealthy but to become a millionaire is       possible if you set up a aggressive savings plan and stick to it. You may be surprised how much money you can put away for something far more enjoyable than what you could buy with short term savings.

Saris  is one of the most precious outfits in a women's wardrobe. In special occasion silk saris  the favorite choice of most Indian women.  Silk is always rich and elegant and no ,match for the celebration. Silk looks extremely classy  and adds elegance and beauty to the appearance of women who wear it, and gives immense pleasure to a women along with perfection.

Wrapping a sari is an art but maintaining the attire is something that require more attention.

Sari care and sari wash is something challengeable. Today, owning a silk sari meant not only the initial price of the garment but also the cost of dry cleaning. Most silk saris can be hand washed. Technically, silk sari does not shrink like other fabric. A good shampoo works well for clean sari ,It will remove oil and revitalize your silk sari.

   Maintaining your silk saris :

Never machine wash your sari, a sari should be delicately hand washed or dry cleaned.

Do not keep bundle and keep wet for a longer period.

In case of stains wash with cold water immediately

Do not use soap for the first three wash, gently rinse in plain cold water.

Wash the pallu, border and  the body of a sari separately.

Avoid washing the sari of a bright color do not brush use hand wash, avoide twisting or wringing the sari.

Never dry the sari in bright sunlight.

While ironing, keep the iron in low or medium heat.

Dry-Cleaning is Preferable

Generally silk saris should be dry-cleaned. In hand washing, the consistency of the silk may be altered, depending on the finishing treatment used to give it sheen and the color may run. Chlorine bleach damages silk and causes it to yellow.

Washing Silks

Certain pre-wash techniques have made certain washable. Raw silk, china silk, Indian silk, creps , tussar,  and jacquard silks are safer to wash. After washing, one should roll in a towel to remove the excess moisture, and then hang on to dry on a padded hanger.

Stains

Stained silk saris should be dry-cleaned as soon as possible. Dyes tend to discolor with moisture. Therefore attempting to remove stains with water is not recommended without first testing the silk for color fastness. It is difficult to remove a concentrated food or beverage stain. Scrubbing or pressing could ruin the fabric. To remove lipstick stains, oil or cosmetic stains try applying talc am powder to absorb the stains and wipe the area with a clean cotton cloth.

Protein Stains:

These stains include blood, deodorant, egg, meat juices and perspiration. To clear such stains, first detergent should be applied to the garment. Then it should be soaked in cool water and laundered. In case of persistent stains, rubbing a mixture of a few drops of Nh2 with hydrogen peroxide should be tried.

Combination Stains:

The stains include chocolate, gravy, ice-cream and milk. First a dry-clean solvent should be applied and then dried. The protein part of the stain supplement can be treated by applying liquid detergent and rinsing with cool water. Then after using a prewash stain remover, thhe silk should be washed in the hottest water that it can stand.

Nail polish Stain:

This can be treated by rubbing acetone on the area.
Lipstick Stains : First Dry-cleaning fluids and then washing in soap and water can be used to remove lipstick stains.

Grease:

These stains are usually caused by oils, butter, margarine, crayon, medicines and oil-based cosmetics. Dabbing on talc immediately will lift the stain. After brushing off the talc, a stain remover can be applied and the silk should be washed in the hottest water that it can stand.
Cotton sari

Cotton sari is a favorite of many Indian women , it is often not preferred due to maintenance problems. The colorful saris in just a single wash loose out the rich look, which is why we have some easy tips that can help many women, prefer cotton outfits from now on. Here are the few tips to maintain cotton saris. Simply take a look.

Cotton is always comfortable and warm. The more you wash the softer it becomes, so maintaining the crispness needs smart thinking. Look for the simple tips to maintain and keep your cotton saris and salwars as new as ever.

Tips To Maintain Cotton Saris -

When you wash the saris for the first  time, soak the saris in warm water mixed with rock salt for 10-15 minutes. This locks the sari color and will not allow the sari to fade even after subsequent washes.

Adding Soap Nuts (also referred to as Washing Nuts or Ritha) in water and then soaking cotton saris will condition the saris and keep it fresh for long.

Adding a liquid starch that is available in stores can keep your sarees crisp and stain free. You can also make a homemade liquid starch.

You Will Need:
1.    Water
2.    Corn Starch
3.    A Bottle (Preferably A Spray Bottle)
Homemade Starch Procedure:

Mix a teaspoon of cornstarch with two cups of water (dissolve starch completely). Add to the bottle and shake well before use. The homemade starch will naturally maintain stiffness of the cotton saris.

For Thicker cotton saris and blouses (with cotton lining), add some more cornstarch     (about a teaspoon more). It is best to store the starch liquid in the refrigerator.

Rinse the saris thoroughly in water as the starch may appear like a stain on saris. Dry the saris in shade.

Iron saris when dry and use hangers to keep the cotton saris wrinkle free for a long time.

Storage of silk saris

Cover  silk  saris with cotton cloth, remember silk is a natural fabric which requires breathing and cotton allows air passing. Never cover it with plastic as it traps moisture which cause yellow and mildew on silk. Silk is all time  and all age groups favorite so store with perfumed sachet and naphthalene balls which should roll with paper with your sari to keep the bugs away. Never use nepthaline balls directly with the sari  they may stain the fabric., thus you see caring for silk sari does not cost much  care for silk sari well and they will provide you luxurious look for years.Don't forget to  store saris in a cool dry place.

Sari is an such a universal drape but a little bit of thought and research when buying your sari can help you look gorgeous within seconds.

Allzheimer

She  takes  care of her husband and every

morning when she visits him at the Nursing home. he

hasn’t recognized her in five years due to his

Alzheimer.

And when she was asked, “If he doesn’t know

who you are, why do you go to meet Him?” she

smiled and

said, “he doesn’t know who I am, but I know..he is

my life..he is my  husband..

Alzheimer is a disease is the most common type

usually affects those over the age of 65yrs and

affects slightly more women than  men.

Symptoms of Alzeimer disease

The  symptoms of Alzeimer disease in its early stages

often include minor problems with memory and

diverticulitis with language recall, not being able to find

the right word.

Later on symptoms can involve change in a

person's personality and behavior.

Alzhemir is a as other disease which affect the

brain. As the deterioration of brain cells progresses to

the moderate stage symptoms will become more

noticeable and affect the sufferer more often and in

more situations in their daily life.

These moderate stage symptoms can include

 repetitive behavior,hallucinations and delusions

difficulty in sleeping and inability to control bladder

function.

It becomes more severe over time and the symptoms

experienced can become even more debilitating while

putting an ever greater strain on family members and

loved ones. The haluciations and delusions associated

with the condition can become more likely, more

frequent and more severe, often being worse.

This may also be accompanied with feelings of

suspicion and paranoia, which can lead to the sufferer

becoming aggressive towards others and even

violent. Though the severe stage of the disease other

symptoms can also become noticeable, these can

include physical symptoms such as a loss of mobility,

difficulty swallowing and weight loss.

An Alzhemer's patient can also become unable to

maintain levels of personal hygiene and often become

more susceptible to bacterial and viral infections.

This severe stage is  also often associated with a

complete loss of both short and long-term

memory.

Causes of Alzheimer

Alzheimer's disease caused by the death of brain cells

of the brain. As this happens clumps of protein called

plaques begin growing in the brain and these clumps

of protein can damage and kill ,more brain cells

making the condition worse. This also affects the

function which are chemical transmitters which

messages the brain.

It is not yet known what causes the steady death of

the brain cells which cause Alzeimer's, but there are

some known risk factors.Aside from age(the largest

risk factor for the disease)it is also known that

Alzhemirer's can run in families suggesting there is a

genetic element, this gentic element tends to be

stronger in the case of early-onset Alzhemier's.  Other

things which increase the chance of developing

Alzeiner's include having  severe head injuries.

Many of the symptoms develop slowly and may be

difficult to isolate as symptoms, particularly in the

early stages; an early diagnosis is important for

these medications to work at their best.

How to treat

There is ongoing research into treating

Alzheimer's; there are many prescription medicatons

available to help reduce symptoms and help slowly.

Acupuncture,aromatherapy,massage therapy,blight

therapy, music therapy and some herbal medicines

could help those suffering from Alzheimers.

Signs

Memory loss, asking for the same information over

 and over.Sometimes forgetting names or

appointments ,but remembering latter.

Difficulty in completing familar tasks at home,at work

 or at leisure.

Occasionally needing help to use the setting on a

microwave or a Television.

Confusion with time or place.Sometimes they may

forget where they are or how they got there.

Trouble understanding visual images,having vision

problems is a sign of Alzheimer's.

New problems with words in speaking or writing.

Poor judgement, they may experience changes in

judgement or decision making.they may pay less

attention to grooming or keeping themselves clean.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis

without examination and investigations and the

answer is based on the medical information provided.

For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult

your doctor.I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
