- 1/4 cup tur dal
- 1/4 cup raw rice
- 10 dry red chilies
- Tamarind a small ball size
- 6tbs. grated coconut
- 2 big size onion
- Oil for frying (shallow fry)
Method
Soak the
rice and toor dal soaak together for
about 2 hours.
Wash and
drain and grind adding little water,.add grated coconut,tamarind and red chillie
After remove
the paste from the blender add finely chopped onions.
Prepare mini size dosa. Fry this dosa from both the sides
Adding
little oil .
The same method
can be used for cabbage dosa adding finely chopped
Cabbage.half cup of finely grated cabbage.
SURNA KUTU (yam)
- Suran a small piece
- ½ coconut grated
- 4 fried whole red chilie
- A tamarind seed sized tamarind
- 1/4tsp of asafotida powder
- For garnishing
- 1tsp mustard seed
- 2stem of curry leaves
- Salt to taste
Method
Cut and cube
into small pieces of suran,adding lilltle salt and keep it for 3-4minutes wash
and drain the water.Adturdd little salt ,rub it and keep it aside before
removing the masala fry asafotia and mustard and add to the masala and grind for 2seconds and
transfer into other vessal.
Take a deep
pan add oil after it is heated add suran pieces and fry into
Crispy golden color add to the masala add salt to taste.
Finally
garnish with musurd and curry leaves.
SWEET AND SOUR CURRY (Mensukaye)
- 1 raw mango
- 10-12 red chili
- 1desert spoon coriander seed
- 1 desert spoon urud dal
- 1/2 tsp methi seeds
- A big size of jaggery
- 3desert spoon grated coconut
- 2spoon white teel seeds (sesame)
- 1/2tsp mustard seed
- Oil for garnishing
- 1 stem curry leaves
- Salt to taste
METHOD
Take a deep
paan adding little oil and fry corriender seeds, methi seed and fry red chillie
fry separately and keep aside.
Slice the
the raw mangoe into a small pieces.
Add sliced mangoe to the masala paste.

With the
grated cocanut coarsely grind the fried
ingredients.

pan and garnish wih adding little oil, mustad

Finally put
jagery and salt to taste.
Bring it to boil.

POTATO SONG
- 5 Medium sized potato
- 5 medium size onion
- 10 fried red chilie
- 2 flakes of garlic
- 1/4tsp turmeric powder
- 1cup coconut
- Tamarind medium size
- Salt to taste
Method
- cut potato and cut into square medium sized pieces.
- Cube the onions like potato pieces;
- Grind coconut, with fried red chili,corriender,tamarind and one flake of garlic,adding little water to it.
- In a deep pan put oil when oil is heated add onion till it becomes transparent.
- Add one finely sliced garlic,turmeric and add potato and cook it with the masala water
- Lastly pour the masala fry for few minutes add add little water
- Let it cook till potato is done .
- The gravy should b semi thick.
- It goes well with rice and daal.
Cauliflower mixed with peas green sukka
Ingredients
- Cauliflower 2cups
- Peas 1cup
- Onion 2medium size cut into small pieces
- Oil 5tbs
Ingredients for Grinding
- Cor render leaves 1 small bunch
- Tomatoes 1 (boil )
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Ginger 1’’piece
- Green chilies 5
- Garam masala powder 2tsp
- turmeric powder 1/2tsp
- Salt to taste
Grind all the masala ingredients Keep it aside
Heat oil in another vessal add onions, when onion turn light brown add ground masala , garam masala powder and vegetables to it.Cover the lid leave it to boil.When the vegetables is done remove from the fire.(add 1 cup of water)
